Commission Types
Terms of Service

General
• By commissioning the Artist, the Client agrees to the following terms.• The Artist reserves the right to decline any commission request.• These Terms of Service are subject to revisions at any time without prior notice.
Commission process
1. Commission openings are announced via Twitter and FurAffinity.2. Accepted slots are placed in the public commission queue and invoiced. Work begins promptly once the invoice has been paid for in full.3. A sketch (WIP) is sent out for your approval.4. Once the commission is ready and has been completed, you will be contacted and sent the final artwork files via Dropbox link.
Payment
• Payment is via Paypal invoice. All prices and invoices are listed in GBP (£).• Payment must be made in full before any work is started on the commission.• Commissions with a value of under £200 must be paid upfront.• If the total commission value exceeds £200, a payment plan can be arranged.• Payment must be made within 3 days from the date of the invoice. Failure to do so may result in the commission slot being cancelled.
Digital Artwork
• Upon completion of the commission, the Client will receive two files:
-1x high resolution, unwatermarked file, for private use
-1x resized, watermarked file for public use• All commissioned artworks are delivered in digital file format and require no physical shipping.• The Client shall assume responsibility for securing their files.• The Artist is not responsible for hosting the commissioned artwork of the Client after 14 days from the date of completion.
Additional Charges
• The following may incur additional fees:
-Keeping the commissioned artwork private
-Faster turnaround
-Additional changes & revisions
-Additional image rights
-Alternate versions of the commission• The Client may request for the commission to be kept private, and not posted by the Artist online, at an additional compensation fee.• The Client may request a faster turnaround with an added rush fee.
Updates & Timeframe
• Current estimated turnaround as of 09/2024 - Up to 2 months• The client may request a faster turnaround at an extra fee. see 'Additional Charges' section• Additional WIPs for any commission type may be requested by the Client, as long as this request is made before work is started on the commission.• Regular updates on all commissions are available to view on the Artist's public Trello queue. Please note that the queue is not worked on in chronological order.
Ownership of Artwork
• The Artist retains full rights to the artwork as well as its preliminaries including concepts, sketches, and thumbnails.• The Artist may re-use unused sketches and concepts rejected by the Client for other works such as other commissions, merchandise, original artworks, etc.• The Artist reserves the right to re-post, use, and sell the artwork (as prints, merchandise). The Artist will always ask for the Client's consent if a commissioned artwork may be considered for use in printing and merchandise.
Usage & Character Rights
• The artwork commissioned is under the basis of personal, non-commercial use only. The Client may use their commission for:
-Prints for personal use.
-Use as a graphic such as icon, banner, wallpaper, etc.
-Re-posting the commission online with credit.• The Client may resize or crop the artwork, but the Client cannot alter the artwork itself without prior discussion and agreement from the Artist.• The Client may request additional image rights at an extra fee. see 'Additional Charges' section• The Client retains full ownership rights of their own respective characters.
Changes & Revisions
• Up to 3 changes may be requested by the Client during the sketch stage, free of charge. The Client is encouraged to provide feedback for the Artist during this stage.• The Client has up to 14 days from the date of receiving the finished commission to request a small revision or change. After 14 days, the commission will be marked as completed, and the Artist is under no obligation to work on the commission any further.• Minor revisions after the completed commission will be charged at a minimum, non-negotiable fee of £10 per revision.• If the Artist makes error in the character's markings or design at any stage, this can be fixed for free.
Refunds
• A full refund will be given where work has not started on the commission.• A 50% refund will be given if a refund is requested by the sketch stage.• No refund will be given if this is requested after approval or if the commission has been completed in full.• The Artist reserves the right to cancel a commission and issue a refund due to: poor communication, inappropriate behaviour, or an unforeseen inability to finish the commission.• In the event that the Artist chooses to cancel the commission, 100% of the original payment will be refunded to the Client.
